The annual Barney to Beach on 13 September 2026 is an 8 mile mixed terrain run/walk across scenic North Devon countryside.

It is a flagship fundraising event for Families in Grief (FIG).

The route is a mixed-terrain, point-to-point course from Barnstaple Pannier Market to Crow Point. The trail takes participants from the town centre along the famous Tarka Trail, finishing with an epic sprint across the dunes towards the Atlantic Ocean.

This 'Town to Tide' adventure is suitable for all abilities including beginners and walkers, while still posing a challenge for more experienced runners.

There is also a 1 mile Children's Fun Run through the dunes, finishing on the beach (ages 4-16).
