The Colne Valley Path Marathon & Half Marathon on 23 August 2026 are on point-to-point off-road courses along the Colne Valley Path.

Starting from Stambourne, Marathon runners are taken along the trails heading through Great Yeldham and the mighty oak. Half Marathon runners pick up the course from Greenstead Green, with both distances finishing on the Cymbeline Meadows in Colchester.

It is predominantly a self-navigation event with GPX files provided, but there will be fully stocked aid stations and checkpoints along the way.

This is a cup-free event - bring your own cup/water bottle for refilling at aid stations during the race.
