Christ College Brecon's annual Mountain Challenge on 6 June 2026 is a walking/running challenge in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Participants can choose from a 23 mile, 13 mile or 10 mile route, all starting and finishing in the school grounds.

The 10 mile course is a low level route using footpaths, roads and the canal towpath. The 13 and 26 mile routes take in Pen y Fan, the highest mountain in South Wales.

There will be no route markers other than checkpoints. Entrants should be capable of navigating via map and compass over difficult terrain.

This event aims to raise awareness and funds for Brecon Mountain Rescue and the Christ College Brecon Foundation.
