The Dover Running Series includes a 10km and 5km race set in the historic beauty of Dover.

The event is part of a whole weekend of activities that showcase the modernisation of the centuries-old Citadel; the UK's largest Napoleonic fortress. The Citadel is opening its doors to the public for the first time in its long history.

Future events intend to include a 30km and 20km distance as well.

The course starts within the high walls of the Citadel’s revetment then leads participants on a multi-terrain journey, taking in Dover’s natural beauty, historical landscape and breathtaking coastline. The race offers participants a broad view of Dover, including the Napoleonic Fortifications nestled into the stunning hills of the Western Heights, Dover Castle and St. Martin’s Battery, to name just a few.
