HOWL Heart of Wales Line Trail Race
Saturday, 29 May 2027
Llandrindod Wells, Powys to Craven Arms, Shropshire, UK
The inaugural HOWL Heart of Wales Line trail race on 29 May 2027 includes a 50 mile, 26 mile or 16 mile distance to choose from.
The HOWL is a long distance walking and running trail that weaves its way between railway stations along the Heart of Wales Line. It opened in the Spring of 2019 across Shropshire, Powys, Carmarthenshire, Brecon Beacons National Park, and the City and County of Swansea.
The 50 mile distance starts at Llandrindod Wells in Powys, the 26 mile from Knucklass, Glyndwr and the 16 mile route covers the final portion of the route from Bucknell to the finish line at Craven Arms, Shropshire.
It is a relatively fast, hilly course, with the route way-marked by roundels, finger posts and signs with the distinctive viaduct logo.
