Isle of Wight Festival of Running
Saturday, 7 June 2025 to Sunday, 8 June 2025
Isle of Wight, UK
The Isle of Wight Festival of Running from 7 to 8 June 2025 includes the famously tough Needles Half Marathon plus other distances across the weekend.
The Needles Half Marathon is one of the toughest and most scenic half marathons in the UK. The 13.1 mile route follows a spectacular trail along the coast from Colwell Bay to Totland Bay, over the heathland of Headon Warren to The Needles. Runners then traverse rugged Tennyson Down to Tennyson Monument, before descending to Freshwater Bay and across Afton Marsh, to the finish.
The Tapnell 10K is a scenic summer evening run from Freshwater village into the rural countryside and through the fields of Tapnell Farm, returning to Freshwater through National Trust and nature reserve land. The Freshwater 5K passes another historic site, Alfred Lord Tennyson’s magnificent home, Farringford.
Younger members of the family can join the Junior Fun Runs.
