The Kintyre Way Ultra on 8 May 2027 is on a mixed terrain course taking runners from Tayinloan to Tarbert.

The Kintyre Way is one of Scotland’s most scenic long-distance paths. The Kintyre Way Ultra course changes each year, tackling a different third of the 100-mile long Kintyre Way.

The route includes forest tracks, open moorland, footpaths and some beach running. It is fully waymarked, with pale blue posts and distance markers at 1 mile intervals. Additional signs or marshals are placed where needed.

There are two entry options, solo and team relay (teams of 2 or 3).

Finishers receive a coaster depicting the route. After all three parts of the jigsaw are completed runners may purchase a frame.
