The Meadows Marathon on 1 March 2026 is an annual student-run event held in the heart of Edinburgh’s iconic Meadows park to raise funds for charity.

There is a distance for all abilities with a 5km, 10km, Half Marathon and Full Marathon.

The course is a flat, looped course that’s perfect for runners of all abilities. Each lap is 1.5 miles (2.4km) and winds through scenic parkland with plenty of space for spectators to cheer you on.

Depending on your chosen race distance, you’ll complete a set number of laps, with clearly marked turning points along the route to guide you. Marshals and signage will indicate when to head to the finish line or continue for another lap, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for every runner.
