The Midsummer Mortimer Trail run on 20 June 2026 has a 30 mile Ultra plus 15 mile 'Half' distance in Shropshire

Starting opposite the Burton Hotel, Kington, the Kington Ultra route takes runners through the Marches of England, with extensive forests, limestone tops and gentle pastures in an area dominated in mediaeval times by the Mortimer family, one of the most powerful Norman earldoms.

The Croft Half follows the last half of the Ultra route (approximately 15 miles), starting at theRiverside Inn, Aymestrey.

The finish line for both distances is by one of the finest medieval ruins in England, in the glorious bustling market town of Ludlow.
