Rabbit Run Wales
Saturday, 18 July 2026
Merthyr Mawr, Bridgend, South Wales, UK
The Rabbit Run Trail Race in South Wales on 18 July 2026 offers the unique opportunity to run on the private grounds of the Merthyr Mawr Estate.
The Merthyr Mawr Warren National Nature Reserve is a haven for wildlife and a trail running paradise. The original 12km and Marathon course take in stunning trails, hills, valleys, a river crossing, and the chance to experience a tumble down the Big Dipper, the highest sand dune in Wales.
Marathon runners also head out on a tour of the Glamorgan Heritage Coast, which promises dramatic landscapes, plunging cliffs, secluded coves and breathtaking views.
The new 65km Ultra distance takes in both the 12km and Marathon routes, with an extended journey along the coast to complete a loop of Llantwit Major.
As well as the main races, there is a selection of family races (the Bunny, Double Bunny and Toddler Dash).
The event is delivered in partnership by the Merthyr Mawr Estate, Bridgend Athletics & Run 4 Wales (R4W).
