The Sirhowy Challenge on 3 May 2026 is a challenging 10 mile multi-terrain race organised by the Islwyn Running Club.
The race starts and finishes at the Ynysddu Hotel and climbs 1500ft to the trig point on Machen Mountain using fire trails, road and tracks.
As well as the 10 mile race, there is also the Sirhowy Loop, a 6.66 mile shorter version of the Sirhowy Challenge.
