Sunderland City Runs from 15 to 16 May 2027 is a celebration of running and includes a Half Marathon, a flat and fast 10km and a Saturday evening 5km.

Saturday's evening 5K takes in the sights from the new Keel Crossing footbridge on a fast and flat route, perfect for first-time time 5Ks.

Sunday's races take runners through the city and along the sea front, with two of its famous bridges providing a stunning backdrop to all distances.

The first Sunderland City 10km event was held in 2011 with just over 1500 taking part. The Sunderland City Runs now welcome around 6000 participants to the city streets.
