The Tidal Trails event at South Shields beach showcases South Tyneside’s beautiful coastline.

This is a unique running experience with a party atmosphere for all ages and abilities. Events include an 8km run, starting and finishing on the beach, surfing up to the lush grass on the iconic Leas area, an exhilarating trail which soars above the waves below.

There is also a short 2km version for beginners and younger runners. The minimum age is 6 years and under 11s must be with an adult.

There will be beach games and family activities throughout the afternoon with music, entertainment and food.
