Pennine Journey North Ultra
Blanchland Village Hall, Northumberland, UK
The Pennine Journey North Ultra is a 112 or 52 mile loop on the Pennine Journey long-distance footpath.
The next event date is to be confirmed.
The full distance loop starts at the medieval village of Blanchland, then on to Hexham with its magnificent Abbey, to Hadrian’s Wall. The route follows probably the best 20 miles of this World Heritage Site, with opportunities to delve into the history of the Roman occupation of Britain, particularly at Housesteads. The 112 mile can be run solo or as a relay in teams of 3.
The 52 mile starts at the market town of Alston and follows the same route as the 112 back to Blanchland. 52 mile runners will have 24 hrs to complete the route.
Support is provided approximately every 10-12 miles. 52-mile runners can have one drop bag, and 112-mile runners two.
