The St Peter’s Way Ultra on 22 February 2026 is is a point-to-point, 43 mile ultra marathon through the historic countryside of Essex.

The route runs in an easterly direction towards the coast, from Chipping Ongar to the ancient chapel of St Peter-on-the-Wall at Bradwell on Sea. The course is a mixture of muddy trails, fields and rural tracks and roads with the final section being on raised sea wall. There are some hills but it’s mostly rolling countryside and very runnable.

The route is waymarked but this race will require some basic navigation. GPX files are provided.

This is a cup-free event - bring your own cup/water bottle for refilling at aid stations during the race.
