The Beachy Head Marathon Weekend from 23 to 24 October 2027 includes one of the biggest off-road marathons in the UK.

Formerly known as the Seven Sisters Marathon, the Beachy Head Marathon is famous for its gruelling course and beautiful scenery. The challenging route takes runners through the South Downs National Park countryside, starting and finishing on the Eastbourne seafront.

Other events over the weekend, include an Ultramarathon, 10km and the Beach Head Half Marathon (held on Sunday),

The 10km route comprises of breathtaking views on a looping route across the Downs to Belle Tout Lighthouse and back. The Beachy Head Ultra (approximately 52K) incorporates both the 10km and Marathon courses.

The Beachy Head Half encompasses much of the full Marathon route on a coastal challenge that takes runners and walkers through the scenic South Downs National Park and over the picturesque Seven Sisters.

The event is based from Bede's Prep School on the Eastbourne seafront at the start of the South Downs Way.
