The Beast of the Beacons on 18 April 2026 is a trail running challenge that includes 40, 20 and 10 mile distances within the majestic Brecon Beacons National Park.

Events start and finish at Gilestone Farm, Talybont on Usk, Brecon on a route that includes harsh climbs, rocky paths to soft forest trails, mud and rivers. The 40 mile is 2 laps of the 20 mile route.

There are generous cut off times to encourage new trail runners to join this event. This event includes a Canicross category - refer to event website for associated rules.

This is a cup free event - you will need to bring a reusable cup.
