The Black Cattle Ultra on 29 August 2026 includes 44 and 33 mile point-to-point trail ultramarathons.

The 44 mile (71km) ultra route starts at the beautiful Llanthony Priory, nestled in the Heart of the Black Mountains. Runners will spend the day travelling back to Cardiff, passing the fairy tale Castell Coch near the finish. The 33 mile (53km) ultra route starts 11 miles into the 44 mile route, at the pretty town of Abergavenny. The race HQ and finish line is Cardiff Harlequins RFC.

Both courses require self navigation and a gpx file of the route is provided. There are three indoor aid stations for the 44 miles race, and 2 indoor stations for the 33 mile race.
