The Burgh Backyard starting on 20 March 2027 is Edinburgh and Lothian’s Backyard Ultra.

Competitors must consecutively run a 6.7056km / 4.167 mile (a yard) loop in less than one hour, every hour. When each lap is completed, the remaining time within the hour is used to recover and replenish for the next hour's race. The race finishes when one person completes one more lap than anyone else.

The course is based in Dalkeith Country Park, with the Race Village based at the Palace Lawn, Dalkeith Palace.
