By Way of The Glen starting on 3 July 2026, is a 170 mile foot race between Glasgow and Inverness in Scotland.

The course travels along two of Scotland most stunning iconic long distance routes, the West Highland Way and the Great Glen Way.

Starting at Milngavie Train Station, runners will have 28 hours to complete the West Highland Way (94 miles) with a small link section on tarmac to then join The Great Glen Way (72 miles) at Neptune Staircase. The route is fully marked with waymark and arrow signs and has a total ascent of around 24,000ft. There will be checkpoints along the way, where runners can be met by their support team

This event is only open to individuals who have completed races of 70 miles plus.
