Cateran Trail Ultramarathon
Saturday, 9 May 2026
Glenshee, Perthshire, UK
The Cateran Trail Ultramarathon on 9 May 2026 is a 55 mile Ultra on a circular route based from Gulabin Lodge at the Spittal of Glenshee.
The route follows the old drove roads and ancient tracks used by the Caterans, the cattle thieves who raided Starthardle, Glenshee and Glen Isla from the middle ages to the 17th century.
Course terrain is approximately 90% off road, made ups of forest trails, rough tracks and trails of open hillside, with stunning scenery in a rural setting. There are small sections of tarmac on quiet country roads. The final section of the route is a stunning climbing up to An Lairig Pass with a view down to the finish back at Gulabin Lodge.
