The MBNA Chester Metric Marathon on 11 October 2026 is the perfect stepping stone from a half marathon to a full marathon.

The 26.2km route is on closed roads taking runners past Chester's iconic landmarks before heading out to the stunning Cheshire countryside and villages. After joining the marathon runners at Churton you begin the return journey, coming into Chester alongside the River Dee for an unforgettable finish on Castle Drive.

Race day will also include a Mini Marathon and the Chester Marathon and is part of the Triple Chester Series which also includes the Chester 10K and Chester Half Marathon.
