The Ely Runfest on 5 October 2025 includes a 10km, Half Marathon, Marathon and 66km Ultra Marathon starting and finishing from the iconic 11th century cathedral in Ely.

The races take in this beautiful historic city before heading into the Cambridgeshire countryside. Most of the course involves quiet, traffic free paths along the the banks of the rivers Great Ouse and Cam and their adjacent fens (there’s only one short, gentle climb through Cherry Hill Park in the entire race). Those running the marathon and ultra get the added bonus of a trip through the Wicken Fen nature reserve.

This is a low key, friendly event which welcomes adult runners of all ages and abilities.

This event is organised by the Ely Tri Club.
