The Holy Trail Festival of Running in Suffolk on 9 May 2026 includes a 50 mile and 50km Ultra Marathon distance.
The 50km starts in Holton, near Halesworth and takes runners across the marshes to Blythburgh past the mighty impressive Blythburgh Cathedral. It then joins the Sandlings Walk to Walberswick, and on towards Dunwich. The route crosses the river Blyth to Southwold, through Southwold and join the Suffolk Coast Path all the way to Lowestoft. At Pakefield it continues along the beach to join the Via Beata to the North of East Point Marina then onto the finish route at Nicholas Everitt Park, Oulton Broad.
The 50 mile route starts in Oulton Broad and joins The Angles Way to Beccles along Carlton Marshes, also part of the Via Beata. It then heads south on the East Suffolk Lines Walk to Holton, Blythburgh Marshes, Sandlings Walk and the Suffolk Coast Path, finishing back at Outlton Broad.
