The Hop Run on 6 June 2026 is a 5km or 10km trail run along the beautiful riverside trails of Roslin Glen Country Park, Midlothian.

Entrants are transported from Race HQ at Stewart Brewing in Loanhead to the start line. The 10km start line is Aaron House, Penicuik and the 5km at Roslin Glen Country Park.

The 10km route takes in 3 castles as it winds it’s way from Penicuik through Roslin Glen and back to Stewart Brewing via Bilston Woods.

Both routes make their way on great woodland riverside trails through the spectacular Roslin Glen. The courses wind their way through through the beautiful valley of the North Esk River, passing tumbling waterfalls, still river pools, quiet natural forests and atmospheric ruins.

This is a cup-free event - bring your own cup/water bottle for refilling at aid stations during the race.
