Loch Ness Marathon & Festival of Running
Sunday, 26 September 2027
Inverness, Scotland, UK
The Loch Ness Marathon & Festival of Running on 26 September 2027 includes the iconic Marathon, plus a 10km, 5km and a kids' run.
The Marathon follows a spectacular point-to-point route alongside world famous Loch Ness, starting in an atmospheric moorland setting and continues through stunning Highland scenery, taking you along the south-eastern shores of Loch Ness, across the River Ness, to the finish line in Inverness.
The River Ness 10K course is also a point-to-point route with runners starting from Inverness Royal Academy. The 10km can be completed as a Corporate Challenge - a fun, competitive option for teams of 4 to 6 colleagues.
The River Ness 5K is open to all ages and abilities, including wheelchair participants, with a flat, scenic course that follows the River Ness and finishes alongside the other races at Bught Park.
For the kids, there is the Wee Nessie (approximately 800m) that is open to under 5s. The course is on a circular route in Bught Park.
