OMM Original Mountain Marathon

The OMM Original Mountain Marathon from 25 to 26 October 2025 is a self-reliant, 2-day journey in teams of 2 through some of the UK’s finest mountain terrain.
This event takes place in a new area each year, with the 2025 event based in the Lake District.
There are 6 courses in total depending on the scale of difficulty and nature of the challenge wanted – 3 Score (points based competition) and 3 linear (time based competition). Teams of 2 choose their course challenge and receive a map at the start line. They then plan a route to visit the marked checkpoints spread across the course area finishing at the overnight wild camp marked on the map. Day 2 is a new map with a different set of checkpoints taking you back to the event centre and the finish line.
Both team members must cross the finish line together or the team is disqualified.

Short score: Day 1: 5 hours / Day 2: 4 hours
Medium score: Day 1: 6 hours / Day 2: 5 hours
Long score: Day 1: 7 hours / Day 2: 6 hours
Linear/Line courses:
B course: Day 1: ~ 25K / Day 2: ~ 20K
A course: Day 1: ~ 36K / Day 2: ~ 29K
Elite: Day 1: ~ 47K / Day 2: ~ 38K
