Race to the Stones Trail Run
Saturday, 11 July 2026 to Sunday, 12 July 2026
Lewknor / Wantage to Avebury, Oxfordshire, UK
The Race to the Stones Trail Run from 11 to 12 July 2026 is an ultramarathon along the ancient Ridgeway, racing towards the 5000-year-old Avebury Standing Stones.
The full 100km course is a point-to-point course, starting in Lewknor and finishing in Avebury. It explores the Ridgeway, Britain’s oldest road, along a remarkably isolated and unspoilt corner of Southern England. Traverse sweeping chalk downland landscapes and pass through ancient forests before finishing by the Avebury Standing Stones, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The 100km can be completed as a non-stop run, or spread out over 2 days completing 50km each day and staying at the overnight basecamp.
Day one's 50km goes from Lewknor to Wantage and Day two's 50km, from Wantage to Avebury. Each day can also be entered as a standalone 50km event.
This event is part of the Threshold Trail Series - see also the Race to the King Trail Run.
