The Severn Challenge
Wednesday, 8 July 2026 to Sunday, 12 July 2026
Hafren to Bristol, UK
One of the toughest races in the UK, the Severn Challenge is a 220 mile multi-stage event over 5 days from 8 to 12 July 2026.
The route utilises the longest riverside path in Britain, from the source of Afon Hafren (Welsh for River Severn) to the mouth of the River Severn in Bristol. The ‘Severn Challenge’ is split into five stages which are also unique races in their own right, with each day having a bespoke finisher's medal.
Complete all five stages and you get all five medals, which are designed as a jigsaw and will replicate a precise miniature scale of the route.
The Severn Challenge is the ‘Sister’ event of The Thames Challenge, one of Ultra Running Ltd's other multi-day events.
