Stanhope Trail Races
Saturday, 11 April 2026
Stanhope, County Durham, UK
The Stanhope Trail Races on 11 April 2026 will take you away from the comfort of urban gravel tracks and into the heart of the glorious landscapes, nature and heritage of North East of England.
Choose from a 10km or Half Marathon, both starting and finishing in Stanhope, a delightful market town in the Durham Dales. The race routes take in The North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and UNESCO Global Geopark: a stunning landscape of open heather moors, dramatic dales, tumbling upland rivers, wonderful woods, close knit communities, glorious waterfalls, fantastic birds, colourful hay meadows, stone-built villages, intriguing imprints of a mining and industrial past and distinctive plants.
The terrain is hard packed gravel shooting tracks, sheep trods and muddy woodland trails. Trail shoes are recommended.
