The Moray Marathon on 5 April 2026 is the only road marathon in the North & East of Scotland held in the Springtime.

This is an inclusive and supportive event for both advanced runners and first time marathon runners. There is a 7 hour cut off.

The Marathon course is a Scottish Athletics approved course. Starting and finishing from the Morriston Playing Fields in Elgin, it is a flat and fast route with PB potential.

As well as the Marathon, there is also the Chilled 20 Mile Race - a road run for those still building to the full marathon distance. The event is not a closed road race. It begins at mile 6.2 of the Moray Marathon route in Roseisle and joins the marathoners through to the finish line at Morriston Playing Fields.

There is chip timing, prizes, and a family friendly finishing area for those cheering you on.
