The Serpent Trail Races
Saturday, 4 July 2026
Haslemere to Petersfield, Hampshire, UK
The Serpent Trail Races on 4 July 2026 include a 100km, 50km, 20km and 10km distance on a beautiful route within the South Downs National Park.
The 100km Ultra marathon race covers the full length of the Serpent Trail from Haslemere to Petersfield. This long-distance trail runs through some of the most breathtaking countryside in the South East of ancient woodlands, greensand ridges and protected heath.
The 75km Ultra (new in 2026) is a beautiful journey through lowland heath, ancient woodlands, coppices, greensand hills and quaint villages.
The 50km is a stunning Trail Ultra that starts from near Petworth, the mid-point of the Serpent Trail and along with the 20km and 10km races is along the southern section of the trail to Petersfield. The second half of the Serpent Trail has smaller hills and lower level sandy trails and paths with sections of road linking them up, so this friendly running event is completely suitable and inclusive for walkers as well as runners.
Each race has coach transport included from the Venue/Finish to the respective start of the race. Please refer to the event website for course maps.
