GWT Trailwalker Challenge
Friday, 11 September 2026 to Sunday, 13 September 2026
Queen Elizabeth Country Park to Brighton Racecourse, UK
The Gurkha Welfare Trust's Trailwalker Challenge from 11 to 13 September 2026 involves teams of 4 taking on a 100km journey in under 30 hours across the South Downs Way.
Trailwalker is the ultimate in long-distance challenges, raising vital funds for the GWT. Setting off from the Queen Elizabeth Country Park on Saturday morning, you'll find a checkpoint roughly every 10km along the route, where you can fill up your water, get first aid, and meet your support crew to grab some food or change kit. At Checkpoint seven you'll get a hot meal to keep you going through the night.
The trail ends at Brighton Racecourse, where you'll receive a hero's welcome and your medal.
Teams from the Gurkha Regiments lead the charge, but thousands of competitors take part from all age groups and levels of experience.
New in 2026 is the Trailwalker Relay - Divide the 100km route across the South Downs between a team of 6-12 participants.
