The Ultra Tour Yorkshire Dales (UTYD) on 17 October 2026 includes a 50km and 25km trail challenge in the Yorkshire Dales.

Based from Grassington, the routes takes in some of the area's most stunning sights, including Malham Tarn, Buckden Pike and sections of the Dales Way. Breathtaking (literally) hill climbs from one valley to the next. Terrain includes runnable trails and boggy moorland.

Both distances are open to runners and walkers, however there are cut off times in place.

This is a self-navigated event with no way markers. A GPX file is provided but map reading and navigation skills are a requirement.

Route choice is available between the checkpoints on the 50km distance for those not wanting to follow the GPX - as long as you follow the rules and do not cross any out of bounds areas, roads, or trespass on private land. The 25km is a fixed route and the GPX must be followed.

Please note: There is no 100km distance for the 2026 event.
