The Lake District Running Festival from 5 to 6 June 2027 is a weekend celebrating off-road running in the Lake District with events for all the family.

Choose from 5.7km, 10km, 17km trail run, 42km Trail Marathon, the Grasmere 24 Hour Ultra plus a 10km Nordic walk. All courses are set in the spectacular surroundings of Grasmere and Rydal Water in the Lake District National Park.

The Grasmere 24 Hour Ultra has runners see how far they can go in 24 hours on a stunning 5km loop.Run solo or in a team of up to 4 (only one runner on the course at any time). The goal is simple: complete as many laps as you can before the clock runs out.

There are also events for the Kids - a 1km Fun Run, perfect for kids under 12 years, and the Teddy Dash, which is open to teddy bears (and other animals) of any age accompanied by a child under 5 years.

The Lake District Running Festival also includes the OMM Lite Adventure Race events over the same weekend. It's a very friendly weekend with camping, retail, talks, workshops, bar and catering on site.
