Race The Sun Lake District
Saturday, 4 September 2027
Keswick, Cumbria, UK
Race The Sun Lake District on 4 September 2027 is a triathlon-style team multisport challenge with a bike, hike and paddle.
Teams of two or four race against the setting sun. All team members compete in each discipline. As a team event you’re only as fast as your slowest team member, you need to stick together for the whole race.
Based from Keswick, the first leg is a 34-mile bike around the beautiful winding local roads. Teams then take on a 10 mile round trip trek beginning with a steep walk up to Latrigg, a small hill on the outskirts of Keswick and then up steeper paths to the summit of Skiddaw. The final leg is a 2-mile water course off the shores of Derwentwater in the Lake District National Park.
This event is a fundraiser for Action Medical Research to support life-changing research across the UK to help save and change the lives of sick and vulnerable children.
